Andrii’s research interests encompass soil science, landscape science, remote sensing, geographic information systems, and digital elevation modelling. He also works with Google Earth Engine and studies soil protection, spatial planning for local communities, and the use of satellite and GIS technologies for land-resource assessment and environmental monitoring.
Andrii is Head of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Management at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. His work combines teaching, research, and the practical application of geospatial and remote-sensing methods in soil protection, environmental monitoring, and spatial planning. He is also involved in international educational and research initiatives focused on doctoral training, nature-based solutions, assessment of war-related environmental damage, and community recovery.
