Description of the field of scientific research:

Sergii's research interests focus on veterinary medicine, with particular emphasis on metabolic, infectious, and non-infectious diseases in animals.

His principal research areas include equine metabolic syndrome, osteodystrophy in cattle, and the role of adipokines and acute-phase proteins in disease pathogenesis.

He also studies biosafety, antimicrobial resistance, and the veterinary and sanitary assessment of animal-derived products. His research uses modern approaches to clinical diagnostics and biostatistics and is informed by the One Health framework.

Sergii is Director of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.

His professional and research activities focus on veterinary medicine, particularly metabolic, infectious, and non-infectious diseases in animals, as well as biosafety, antimicrobial resistance, and veterinary and sanitary assessment of animal-derived products.

He also has experience in teaching, science communication, and the development of science policy.

Professional experience:

1995 — Began his studies in veterinary medicine.

Since 2000 — Assistant Lecturer.

2006 — Received the Candidate of Sciences degree.

2010 — Awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.

Since 2016 — Head of Department.

Since 2022 — Acting Rector.

Since 2025 — Director of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine.
