Problems of systems modeling; decision-making processes; reflexive processes and management in economics; behavioral economics; development of intelligent industry and Industry 4.0; use of mathematical methods, models and information technologies in economics.

List of duties:

Svitlana is a scientist and researcher at the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Her research interests include behavioral economics and the use of mathematical methods, models, and information technologies in modern economic science. 

Professional experience:

From 2006 to 2019, Svitlana was a PhD student and lecturer at the Department of Applied Mathematics, Intelligent Decision-Making Systems, and Computer Information Technologies at the Donbas State Engineering Academy of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. From 2011 to 2021, she was a doctoral student and senior researcher at the Departments of Economic Systems Modeling and Financial and Economic Problems of Production Capacity Utilization at the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

From 2021 to the present, she has been a leading researcher at the Department of Financial and Economic Problems of Utilizing Production Potential of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In addition, from 2019 to 2021, Svitlana was a stakeholder in monitoring the EU BIOART Erasmus+ program, an "Innovative multidisciplinary educational program on artificial implants for bioengineering for bachelors and masters" at the Department of Computer Information Technology. From 2021 to 2027 — I was an expert in the working group on developing smart specialization in the Donetsk region to integrate the intelligent specialization approach into regional development strategies.

From 2021 to the present, she has been a member of the organizing committee of the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Problems of Socio-economic Systems Modeling," a member of the organizing committee of the yearly All-Ukrainian Scientific and technical conference "Modern Information technologies, automation means and electric drive" and a representative of the Institute of Industrial Economics of National academy of sciences of Ukraine in the public union "IT Cluster of Donetsk Region." Since 2023, she has also participated in the annual International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modeling and Forecasting of Economic Processes" program committee.

Scientific projects:

  • The international project DILLUGIS`24 (Digital Labs & Lectures for Ukrainian, German & International Students)

    The DILLUGIS’24 enables students and lecturers from Ukraine, as well as interested international students, to participate in the digital education of the East Bavarian University Amberg-Weiden’s Digital Technology and Management program. The project is implementing with the support of the German academic exchange service DAAD as the part of the «Ukraine digital: Ensuring academic success in times of crisis» initiative funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (FMBF).
