Iryna Galstian

Ph.D.

Languages for professional communication:

English, Russian

Description of the field of scientific research:

After completing my master's in materials science and my Ph.D. in solid-state physics, she worked on developing new composite materials for energy applications. She has extensive experience in the application of microscopic and spectroscopic methods in physics, chemistry, and materials science. Her work focuses on the investigation of optical, electrical, absorption and emission properties of metal-carbon and polymer-carbon nanocomposites and porous structures for photothermal energy converters (PTECs) and solar collectors. Her previous experience in various methods for synthesizing hybrid systems was greatly expanded during the last months when she worked as a guest researcher in Yana Vaynzof's research group (IFW Dresden). During this time, she was able to delve deeper into the methods of physical and chemical deposition of thin films.

List of duties:

Synthesis of composites; microscopic and spectroscopic studies of materials; electronic structure and electronic properties of nanoscale systems; perovskite photovoltaics.

Professional experience:
