Her research interests include developing biomaterials based on biopolymers and studying the effect of biologically active compounds on metabolic processes in the body.
Viktoriya is a professor at the Department of Technology of Biologically Active Substances, Pharmacy, and Biotechnology. She is engaged in teaching and research. She lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students majoring in “Biotechnology and Bioengineering.”
From 1992 to 1994, Viktoriya worked as a chemical engineer at the NAAS Institute of Animal Biology. From 1994 to 1999, she was a postgraduate student at the Institute of Animal Biology of NAAS. From 1999 to 2000, she worked as a leading specialist at the same Institute and from 2000 to 2003 as a researcher; from 2009 to 2003, she completed her doctoral studies, and since 2013, she has been working as a senior researcher at the Institute of Animal Biology of NAAS.
Since 2017, Viktoriya has been a professor at the Department of Technology of Biologically Active Substances, Pharmacy, and Biotechnology at the Lviv Polytechnic National University.
In addition, in the 1990s, Viktoriya was a member of the Ukrainian Biochemical Society, a member of the FEBS, and, in 2018, of the commission for the initial accreditation examination of bachelor's degree programs in biotechnology at National Aviation University in 2017, of the Shevchenko Scientific Society (biochemical section), and in 2023, of the All-Ukrainian Association of Biomedical Engineers and Technologists.
Also, since 2022, she has been an expert of the Ministry of Education and Science on the examination of research and development projects, an expert of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance since 2023, and a member of the commission for the initial accreditation examination of bachelor's degree programs in "Biotechnology" at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv since 2019.
She is also a reviewer of articles in journals: "Cytology and Genetics," "'Ukrainian Biochemical Journal," "Biological Studies," and "Journal of Clinical: Medicine Animals Minerals BioChem."
