Iryna's research interests encompass Ukrainian criminal procedure, the application of the case law of the European Court of Human Rights in criminal proceedings, EU criminal procedural law, war crimes, and the use of criminal justice mechanisms to address gender-based violence.
Iryna is a Professor at the Department of Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics at Odesa State University of Internal Affairs. She combines teaching and research in criminal procedure and international criminal justice standards. She also has experience in grant-funded and educational projects, including Erasmus+ Jean Monnet initiatives, as well as in the development and implementation of certificate programmes.
