Oleksii researches game theory and its application to computer systems, machine learning and NLP.
Oleksii is a professor at the computer science department at the Ukrainian Catholic University. He teaches courses in NLP, complex systems, game theory, and machine learning. He also teaches at the Kyiv Academic University and the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
From 2002 to 2008, Oleksii held the position of Junior Researcher at the Department of Optimization of Controlled Processes at the Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. From 2008 to 2021, he was a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Software Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
From 2021 to 2022, he worked as Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Software Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. At the same time, he was a reviewer for the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and deputy editor-in-chief of the journal Programming Problems. Earlier, in 2017-2019, he was a reviewer for the Fulbright Foundation.
He has been a lecturer at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy since 2018, at the Kyiv Academic University since 2019, and a professor at the Ukrainian Catholic University since 2022. In addition, since 2021, he has been a co-organizer of the UN Human Rights Program seminar and, since 2017, a co-founder and lecturer of the Real Science project.
