Description of the field of scientific research:

His interest includes cellular mechanisms and intercellular interactions in the nervous system. He also investigates the effects of pharmacological agents on the nervous system and behavior in experimental models.

List of duties:

Dmytro is a neurophysiologist. His main activity is the study of the mechanisms involved in the functioning of the nervous system under normal conditions and pathological changes. In his research, he pays special attention to the processes of emergence and development of epileptic seizures on various experimental models.

Professional experience:

Since 1994, Dmytro completed postgraduate studies at the Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 1997, he obtained the degree of candidate of medical sciences at the same institution. In 1998, he worked as a research associate at Iowa State University. In 2000, he also worked as a researcher at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Since 2003, Dmytro worked as an assistant professor at Geisel Medical School in Dartmouth. Since 2007, he has been a leading researcher at the Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Dmytro is also a member of several professional societies and reviews scientific articles in domestic and foreign journals.
