Description of the field of scientific research:
Serhіі’s research interests encompass plant physiology and the molecular mechanisms underlying stress resistance in agricultural crops. He studies plant immunity and genetic mechanisms of resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, including NLR, RLK, RLP resistance genes and ABC transporters in wheat and sunflower. His research also covers plant interactions with pathogens of different trophic groups, bioinformatic analysis of genomes and functional proteins associated with plant defence, field studies of plant responses to stress factors, and critical assessment of agricultural technologies, micronutrients, biostimulants, and plant nutrition systems.

Serhіі conducts research in plant physiology, immunity, and stress responses of agricultural crops. His work combines field experiments, bioinformatic analysis, and plant physiology to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying winter wheat and sunflower resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. He also studies immune genes and receptors and evaluates contemporary agricultural technologies, specialised fertilisers, and biostimulants, combining scientific research with practical experience in the agricultural sector and science communication.
