Description of the field of scientific research:

Postcolonial linguistics; linguistic discourse of the Soviet period; language ideologies; language policy and language planning in the Soviet period, history of grammatical theories against the background of sociopolitical factors; grammar of the Ukrainian language.

List of duties:

Professor of the Department of Ukrainian Language at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. I teach the following disciplines: Morphology of the Ukrainian language, Linguistic pragmatics, Research seminar, Linguistic variation and language change: sociopolitical aspect. She is also the editor-in-chief of the journal Language: "Classical - Modern - Postmodern".

Professional experience:

She has worked at the Department of Ukrainian Language at NaUKMA since September 2014. At first, she was a senior lecturer; since January 2018, she has been an associate professor, and since September 2021, she has been a professor.

In addition, since 2024, she has been a reviewer for the journal Cognitive Studies | Études cognitives, and since 2023 - for the journal Theory et Historia Scientiarum. Since 2023, she has been a member of the National Association of Ukrainian Studies.

Since 2020, she has been the editor-in-chief of the journal "Language: Classical—Modern—Postmodern," which is included in the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine (category "A") and the Scopus scientometric database, and a member of the editorial board of the journal "Language. Literature. Folklore," which is also included in the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine.

Since 2018, she has also been a member of the editorial board of the journal "Linguistic Studies "VaVasyl'tus Donetsk National University (Vinnytsia)), which is included in the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine (category "B")" In 2015-2016, she was the Academic Secretary of the Expert Council on Philological Sciences and Social Communications of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

  • Ukraine digital: Ukraine in its transcultural and transnational context

    "Co-teaching programme for European integration (Taste)" in form of the online tandem seminars (courses) will provide students and teachers of NaUKMA and JLU with a room for exploring Ukrainian language, history, culture, literature, and society, reflecting on the current state of war, and strengthening Ukrainian voices.
