Description of the field of scientific research:

Hanna studies materials science related to railway metal products and additive manufacturing. Her research focuses on structure formation in steels and nickel- and aluminum-based alloys during production and heat treatment processes.

Research interests include the development and improvement of steel grades, mechanical and service properties of materials, the effects of hot plastic deformation and heat treatment on structure, phase transformations, structural heredity, and structural–chemical heterogeneity. A dedicated research area addresses efficient metal powder–based additive manufacturing processes and the formation of structural states and mechanical properties of additively manufactured components for various operating conditions.

List of duties:

Conducts research in materials science, contributes to the development and implementation of new materials and technologies, and participates in scientific coordination and standardization activities. Engages in international scientific cooperation and preparation of academic publications.

Professional experience:

Professional experience includes long-term research and organizational work in the field of ferrous metallurgy and materials science. From 2004 to 2006, Hanna worked as a first-category engineer at the Z. I. Nekrasov Iron and Steel Institute of the NAS of Ukraine. Between 2008 and 2019, she progressed from Junior Researcher to Senior Researcher at the same institute.

From 2019 to 2024, she served as Scientific Secretary of the Z. I. Nekrasov Iron and Steel Institute of the NAS of Ukraine. Since 2025, she has been engaged in professorial activity at the Department of Construction, Technical Aesthetics, and Design of Dnipro University of Technology. Her professional activities also include membership in the Ukrainian Materials Science Society, chairing Technical Committee for Standardization No. 4, and serving on the editorial board of a specialized scientific journal.
