Description of the field of scientific research:

Olena is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cordoba (Spain). She works on the SusPharma project and is interested in the problems of recycling waste into marketable products, including for the pharmaceutical industry.

List of duties:

Catalysis in biomass processing. Creation of nanoscale oxides that can be used as catalysts, pigments, and solar cell elements. Including the use of industrial waste as a raw material.

Professional experience:

From 1984 to 1987, she worked as an engineer in the department of technological calculations and reporting at the Sievierodonetsk Reinforced Concrete Plant, from 1988 to 1995 as a researcher conducting experimental research on catalysts and exhaust gas utilization at the Department of Basic Organic and Inorganic Synthesis at the Rubizhne Branch of the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology-Dnepropetrovsk. From 1995 to 2024, she was an assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor of the following courses: “Chemistry”, ‘Fundamentals of Chemical Technology’ at the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University.

Also, since 2022, she has been a postdoctoral researcher conducting organic synthesis catalyst research at the Faculty of Sciences, Department of Organic Chemistry, University of Cordoba. She is also a postdoc researcher in the period 2023-2025.

In 2017-2018, she was a reviewer for the Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering; in 2020-2021, she was a reviewer for the Journal of Chemistry, Technology and Application of Substances.
