Description of the field of scientific research:

Oleksandr studies molecular and cellular biology, skeletogenesis, cell signaling pathways, and osteoimmunology.

List of duties:

Oleksandr is an expert in molecular and cell biology, skeletogenesis, cell signaling pathways, immunology and osteoimmunology. He has authored and co-authored over 25 SJR-Q1 publications, including works published in Nature and Science. Olexandr's publications have received over 3000 citations.

Professional experience:

In 1989, Oleksandr started a postgraduate student at the Department of Regulatory Cell Systems at the Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Lviv. In 1993, he received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and became a junior researcher. Soon, in 1994, he was promoted to a Researcher position in the same department.

He continued his career as a researcher at the Dutch Cancer Research Institute, Amsterdam in 2000. After that, in 2002, Olexandr worked as a researcher in Chapel Hill, and in 2005 he was invited to join the University of California, San Diego as a Visiting Scientist.

After that, Olexandr continued his career as a researcher at the University of Richmond, then at Leiden University, and later at the Academic Medical Center of the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

In 2012, Olexandr became a senior researcher at the Institute of Cell Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Lviv. And now, he has continued his scientific career as a Senior Scientist at the Institute of Biochemistry, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv since 2021.Olexandr has also been a member of the Ukrainian Biochemical Society since 1992. In addition, he has been a reviewer for various scientific journals since 1999.
