Viktor is engaged in the development of models for studying the evolution of fertility or quality signals, the determination of factors that influence the growth of signs related to signaling, as well as the study of the evolutionary stability of signaling systems.
In addition, Viktor launched his podcast about young and exciting people from Ukraine who are shaping the future of science "Nastupni."
Viktor is a third-year postgraduate student at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). He is engaged in theoretical biology in the field of sexual selection. Namely, he studies the evolution of fertility signals in females and quality signals in males.
During the master's program "Ecology and Evolution" 2016-2018, Victor was an employee of the Center for the Rehabilitation of Bats in Kharkiv.
From 2018 to 2020, he was a student of the Jagiellonian University. And from 2019 to 2020, he worked as an assistant within the scientific project of the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Jagiellonian University, under the leadership of Dr. Edyta Sadowska.
From 2020 to today, Viktor is a graduate student at the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
In 2021, he became the organizer of the Ph.D. Student in Evolutionary Biology Retreat for students of the University of Zurich. He has participated in reviewing scientific articles in the Journal of Avian Biology, PLOS One, as well as for the PCI Evol Biol service.
Since 2022, Victor has been a member of the European Society for Evolutionary Biology (ESEB) and the Society for Studying Evolution.
Also, from 2022, Victor is a student representative in ESEB and co-organizer (co-chair) of 28 European Meetings for Ph.D. Students in Evolutionary Biology.
