Description of the field of scientific research:

Prenatal ultrasound diagnostics (before birth) of critical congenital heart defects in fetuses and perinatal tactics (before, during, and immediately after birth) of management in such cases; CorD program — a unique Ukrainian program to help children with critical heart defects in the first hours of life using autologous umbilical cord blood; Ebstein's anomaly in fetuses and young children — diagnostic and treatment options.

List of duties:

Andrii is a pediatric and fetal cardiologist. His main activity is diagnosing and treating congenital heart defects in fetuses (before birth) and children (after birth).

Professional experience:

From 2001-2003, Andrii worked as an assistant at the Department of Radiation Diagnostics of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, and from 2003 to 2014, he was a senior researcher at the Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. From 2014 to 2023, he worked as the head of the same institution's scientific and diagnostic department; since 2023, he has been the Deputy Director General for Scientific Work.

In addition, since 2012, Andrii has been a member of the Association for European Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology; since 2013, he has been an expert evaluator of applications for European accreditation in echocardiography of congenital heart disease from the European Society of Cardiology, since 2016, a member of the editorial board of the journal Prenatal Cardiology, since 2018 — Vice President of the Ukrainian Association of Pediatric Cardiology (UAPC), and since 2019 — a member of the editorial board of the journal “Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery: Continuing Professional Development.”
