Vegetation science, geobotany, phytosociology, flora

List of duties:

The main focus of her research is the classification of vegetation and habitats. Anna was involved in the development of the Emerald Network of Ukraine. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, she was also involved in assessing the impact of military operations and the temporary occupation of protected areas.

Professional experience:

From 2000 to 2006, Anna worked at the M.G. Kholodny Institute of Botany, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, from 2000 to 2005 as a junior researcher and for another year as a researcher.

From 2006 to 2017, she worked at the National dendrological park “Sofiyivka” of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. First, as a researcher (2006-2007), then as the head of the department (2007-2012), scientific secretary (2012-2014), and later as a leading researcher (2014-2017). From 2014 to 2019, she held a position at the Karmeliukove Podillia National Nature Park (part-time).

In 2017, Anna returned to the M.G. Kholodny Institute of Botany, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Still, as a leading researcher, and since 2019, she has been working at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic (part-time).

In addition, Anna has been a member of the International Association for Vegetation Science (IAVS) - Council Member since 2019, European Vegetation Survey (EVS) - Steering Committee member since 2020, Eurasian Dry Grassland Group (EDGG) - Executive Committee Member since 2015, Ukrainian Botanical Society since 1997 and Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group since 2018.

She is also a member of the editorial boards of Vegetation Classification and Survey, Acta Botanica Hungarica, Biologia, Black Sea Botanical Journal, and Autochthonous and Introduced Plants.

In addition, he has 26 reviews of articles submitted for publication in international scientific journals.
