Description of the field of scientific research:

Mykola’s research interests encompass internal veterinary medicine, with a particular focus on metabolic diseases in cattle. He studies the prevalence and mechanisms of osteodystrophy, ketosis, hepatosis, and other metabolic disorders in high-producing dairy cows. His research also addresses micronutrient deficiencies and technogenic contamination, animal gastroenterology, prevention and treatment of non-infectious diseases, and clinical veterinary laboratory diagnostics.

List of duties:

Mykola is an Associate Professor at the Department of Internal Diseases of Animals and Clinical Diagnostics at the Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies of Lviv. He combines teaching and research on metabolic diseases in animals and develops approaches to their early diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. His work includes haematological and biochemical analysis of blood and other biological fluids using automated laboratory equipment.

2002–2006 — Assistant Lecturer, Department of Internal Diseases of Animals.

2006–2007 — Senior Lecturer, Department of Internal Diseases of Animals.

Since 2007 — Associate Professor, Department of Internal Diseases of Animals.

2011–2015 — Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

2015–2017 — Doctoral Researcher, Department of Internal Diseases of Animals and Clinical Diagnostics, Stepan Gzhytskyi National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies of Lviv.

2024–2025 — Developer and reviewer of test items for the Unified State Qualification Examination in Veterinary Medicine.

2025 — Member of a Ministry of Education and Science evaluation group for laboratory equipment procurement within the World Bank-supported project Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results.
