Description of the field of scientific research:

Study of variable and interacting double stars, in particular: pulsating, eclipsing, symbiotic, cataclysmic.

List of duties:

Three years ago, Vladyslava's main activities were teaching astrophysics at the Odesa II Mechnikov National University, working with students in the field of studying variable stars, working with schoolchildren in an astronomy club, preparing for astronomy competitions, working with schoolchildren and preparing papers for competitions of the Junior Academy of Sciences.

After the start of the full-scale invasion, the scientist received a scholarship for an internship in Slovakia but lost her position at Odesa II Mechnikov National University. At the same time, she continued to lead an astronomy club at the Richelieu Scientific Lyceum, worked as a jury member for astronomy competitions, and trained teams before international competitions.

Professional experience:

From 2000 to 2001, Vladyslava was a junior researcher at the Scientific Research Institute “Astronomical Observatory.” From 2008 to 2011, she worked as a researcher at the same institute. In addition, from 2008 to 2022, she worked as an associate professor at the Department of Theoretical Physics and Astronomy at the Odessa I.I.Mechnikov National University.

Since 2019, Vladyslava has been an astronomy teacher at the Richelieu Scientific Lyceum and a methodologist at the Educational and Scientific Unit “Center of STEM-education in Odessa region.”

Also, since 2008, Vladyslava has been an individual member of Division G, “Stars and Stellar Physics,” at the International Astronomical Union.
