Sociolinguistics, linguistic situation, linguistic behavior, linguistic consciousness, linguistic and national identity, mother tongue.

List of duties:

She works in sociolinguistics. She studies changes in the linguistic situation in Ukraine and changes in Ukrainians' linguistic behavior during the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Professional experience:

From 2016 to 2021, Natalia was a PhD student at the Institute of Ukrainian Language of the NAS of Ukraine, Department of stylistics, culture of language and sociolinguistscs.

Currently, since 2021, she has been working as a junior researcher at the Department of stylistics, culture of language and sociolinguistscs at the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the NAS of Ukraine and since 2022 as an assistant at the Department of Ukrainian Language and Slavic Studies at Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University.

In addition, from 2016 to 2019, Natalia was a participant in the international trilateral project “Bi- and multilingualism between conflict intensification and conflict resolution. Ethno-linguistic conflicts, language politics and contact situations in post-Soviet Ukraine and Russia” with the support of the Volkswagen Foundation and the University of Giessen. In 2024, she participated in a non-resident program of the French Research Center in Humanities and Social Sciences (CEFRES, UAR 3138 CNRS-MEAE).
