Description of the field of scientific research:
Oksana's research interests encompass wastewater and soil treatment from toxic contaminants, including heavy metals and carcinogens. She studies the use of biochar as a sorbent in wastewater treatment and soil remediation technologies, as well as its application as an additive in cement composites. Her work is broadly focused on technologies for restoring ecosystems affected by technogenic pollution.
List of duties:
Oksana is an Associate Professor at the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection. Her teaching and research activities focus on technologies for cleaning and restoring components of the biosphere affected by anthropogenic pollution and on applying contemporary environmental approaches to improve the condition of degraded biogeocenoses. She is also involved in peer review and examination committee activities.
Professional experience:
2000–2005 — Research degree candidate at the Department of Chemical Technology of Silicates, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
2006 — Defended her Candidate of Technical Sciences dissertation in Refractory Non-Metallic and Silicate Materials Technology on Portland cements with complex polycarboxylate-based modifiers.
Since 2006 — Academic teaching at Lviv State Agrarian University, later Lviv National Environmental University, and following institutional reorganisation, Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies named after S. Z. Gzhytskyi.
2021–2025 — Reviewer of scientific articles for the Bulletin of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
2025 — Chair of the Examination Committee for the defence of qualification theses at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
