Description of the field of scientific research:

Mariia studies the synthesis of new terpenoid derivatives with anticonvulsant, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties. She researches the development and study of thermotropic liquid crystal systems as permeability enhancers for medicines.

Mariia is a member of the American Chemical Society and the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology. She is a reviewer in international publications: Molecules, Pharmaceutics, Antibiotics, Membranes, Biomolecules, Pharmaceuticals, Metabolites, Molbank, Scientia Pharmaceutica (MDPI Publisher); Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry (ACS, American Chemical Society); Natural Product Research, Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds (Taylor & Francis) and Open Chemistry (De Gruyter).

Professional experience:

Mariia is an associate of the Council of Young Scientists at the Odesa Regional Administration.

She started the series of interviews "Scientific Talks" – a project aimed at popularizing chemistry, in which lecturers based on their own experience highlight the main problems and achievements in the field of chemistry, its social and practical significance.
