Description of the field of scientific research:

Maria is studying gene expression in the placenta of a healthy person and in case of pregnancy complications.

List of duties:

The scientist studies gene expression using molecular biology and bioinformatics methods. 

Professional experience:

Since 2009, Maria has been a chief specialist and head of the Systems Biology Laboratory at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the NAS of Ukraine, and a reviewer of articles in industry journals.
