Description of the field of scientific research:

Mapping of changes in forest cover in combat areas; use of remote sensing methods for forests; modeling of fire behavior in forests and landscapes.

List of duties:

Andrii is a postgraduate student in forestry at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv). He is interested in mapping the damage to forest ecosystems caused by military operations in Ukraine.

Professional experience:

Since 2022, Andrii has been a junior research fellow at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. Since 2023, he has been a PhD student at the department of forest inventory and forest management at the same university.

From February 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, he collected data for the research work "Research of approaches to forest mapping based on geospatial information" under the "Satellites for Wilderness Inspection and Forest Threat Tracking contract."
