Nonclassical and hybrid correlations of quantum systems under realistic conditions
Connections between quantum light beams: is it really that complicated?
Role: Project manager
Ph.D., Senior Researcher
Andrii's research interests include quantum optics in turbulent atmospheres, photodetection theory, and quantum electrodynamics of resonators. In addition, he studies the unclassical properties of quantum light, quantum communication and quantum metrology and is interested in the Bell Nonlocality, quantum measurement theory, and localization of photons and massive particles.
Andrii is a leading researcher at the Bogolyubov Institute of Theoretical Physics. He works in the fundamentals of quantum physics and modern quantum technologies. His interests include fundamental questions of quantum theory and practical applications of quantum phenomena. In particular, he is one of the co-authors of the theory describing quantum communication channels in the atmosphere (including using satellites). In addition, Andrii has resulted in the theory of realistic quantum measurements. He significantly tries to understand the fundamental differences between quantum and classical systems.
Since 1997, Andrii has worked at the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, starting as a junior researcher, then as a researcher, and finally as a senior researcher and this period lasted until 2019 with interruptions.
From 2002 to 2018, also with breaks, Andrii was a researcher at the Institute of Physics at the University of Rostock in Germany.
Since 2019, Andrii has been a senior researcher at the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
In addition, since 2016, he has been a reviewer for the journals of the American Physical Society (Physical Review Letters, Physical Review X, Physical Review A, Physical Review Applied) and other professional journals of Elsevier, IOP Publishing and others. In 2023, Andrii joined the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
