Description of the field of scientific research:
Andrii’s research interests encompass agricultural land reclamation, irrigated agriculture, and agronomy. His work focuses on water and nutrient regimes under irrigation, moisture transfer in irrigated soils, water resources management, and improving irrigation efficiency. A major area of his research is the development and scientific substantiation of intensive drip irrigation technologies for agricultural crops that support optimal plant productivity while preserving the ecological stability of agricultural landscapes.
List of duties:
Andrii is Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. He coordinates research in irrigated agriculture and land reclamation, contributes to the development and implementation of scientific projects, and participates in the training of researchers. He is also the programme guarantor of the H1 Agronomy doctoral programme, serves as an expert for several national and international institutions, and participates in professional bodies dealing with irrigation, drainage, and water management.
Professional experience:
2002–2003 — Research work at the Institute of Southern Vegetable and Melon Growing of the Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences, Hola Prystan, Kherson Region.
Since 2003 — Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv.
2004–2006 — PhD Student, Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation.
2006 — Researcher, Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation.
2007–2011 — Head of the Microirrigation Laboratory, Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation.
Since 2011 — Deputy Director for Research, Institute of Water Problems and Land Reclamation.
