Rostyslav studies the history and management of art education, history and theory of art.
Rostyslav is a member of the specialized scientific councils to defend candidate and doctoral dissertations in the specialties «Fine, decorative and applied art», «Design». He is a member of the board of the Lviv Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the Union of Critics and Art Critics of Lviv.
In 1996, Rostylav was a scholarship holder of the Getty Institute "Art Education in Ukraine Beyond the Homeland" (research on Ukrainian art education and museum collections in exile: Czech Republic, Austria, France, and the United States). In 2002, he was a scholarship holder of the American Council for Scientific Research (ACLS) for the "Dictionary of Artists and Educators of Ukraine and from Ukraine in the World."
In addition, Rostylav was a participant in international symposia and art conferences: "Hefaiston" 1996 (Czech Republic); "Ferraculum" 2000; 2002 (Austria); "Batyscaph" (Odesa), "Galician Impression" (Lviv), "Ecological Perspective" 2000-2022 (Lviv, Kosiv), etc.
