Description of the field of scientific research:

Vitaliy is a historian and archivist. He focuses on the history of Ukraine in the first third of the nineteenth century. In archival studies, he focuses on decolonization practices and digital history.

Professional experience:

From 2004 to 2005, Vitaliy worked as a teacher of history and law at Lutsk Gymnasium, from 2005 to 2009 as a graduate student at the Institute of History of Ukraine, from 2008 to 2011 as a researcher at the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, and from 2011 to 2023 as a researcher at the Department of History of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921 at the same institute.

Since 2023, he has been working as the director of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Archival Affairs and Record Keeping and the executive editor of the print media "Archives of Ukraine." It is also interesting that from 2012 to 2022, he held the position of executive secretary of the collection of scientific papers "Problems of studying the history of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917-1921."
