Description of the field of scientific research:
Inessa’s research interests encompass molecular biology and cancer biology. Her work focuses on carcinogenesis, biomarkers for the early development of cancer, mechanisms of chemo- and radioresistance in tumours, cancer immunology, kidney cancer, and glioblastoma.
List of duties:
Inessa heads the Laboratory of Nucleic Acid Biosynthesis within the Department of Functional Genomics at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Her work combines leadership of research in molecular oncology with teaching activities. She also serves as an Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at Kyiv Academic University.
