Public health expert. He is engaged in the study and dissemination of scientific information on health, the prevention of non-communicable diseases, the prevention of behavioral risk factors, and longevity. He pays special attention to strengthening public policy on tobacco and alcohol control and limiting the spread of ultra-processed food.
From 2007 to 2019, Otto Stoyka served as the Chief Medical Officer of the Kyiv City Health Center.
From 2020 to 2021, he headed the Health Promotion Department of the Kyiv City Public Health Center.
In 2021, he worked as a methodologist at the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
In 2022, he was a national nutrition consultant at UNICEF Ukraine.
Since 2023, he has been a statistician at the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
In addition, since 2016, he has been a member of the editorial board of the scientific European journal Journal Tobacco Prevention & Cessation (Tob. Prev. Cessation; ISSN: 2459-3087).
