Taras Habrel’s research focuses on immersive media and their impact on artistic practices and educational environments.
He pays particular attention to audiovisual experience, immersive technologies in design, and interdisciplinary approaches at the intersection of art and technology.
He also studies the potential of new media as a tool for shaping public, cultural, and educational spaces.
Taras is a lecturer and researcher in media art and immersive technologies at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
He develops and teaches courses focused on VJ culture, lighting design, interactive design, and spatial media practices.
Since 2011 — Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Design and Fundamentals of Architecture, Institute of Architecture and Design, Lviv Polytechnic National University. Courses taught include Drawing, Painting, 3D Modelling, Visual Communications, Fundamentals of Design and Computer Graphics, and Fundamentals of Model Making.
Since 2018 — Candidate of Art Studies in Design.

Since 2018 — Developer of the Interactive Design course, focusing on Archicad and project-based learning.
Since 2019 — Developer of the course “Fundamentals of VJing — Contemporary Media Art” at Lviv Polytechnic National University.
