PhD
Denys’s research interests encompass accelerator technology, charged-particle physics, plasma physics, and condensed matter physics. He studies electromagnetic radiation generation in direct-action accelerators equipped with plasma opening switches, electron-beam processing of solid materials at energies of up to 500 keV, and beam propagation through polymer membranes and along dielectric structures. His work also includes plasma source development, mass separation of substances in the plasma state, microplasma oxidation, and liquid treatment using powerful high-voltage underwater electrical discharges. Another area of his research is the development and investigation of equipment for protecting airspace and ground areas.
Denys is Acting Head of the Department of Magnetoplasma Technologies and Compact Pulsed Accelerators at the National Science Center “Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology”. His work combines fundamental and applied research in plasma physics and accelerator technology with the development of experimental equipment. In parallel, he works part-time at the Department of Quasi-Optics of the O. Ya. Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
