Description of the field of scientific research:
Oleh is interested in forming functional coatings on the surface of titanium alloys, increasing the wear, corrosion, and biological durability for use in aviation, biomedicine, and the chemical industry.
He is researching the performance of reactor steels in low-melting metal melts, and the prevention of rare-metal corrosion and embrittlement. Oleg also studies the philosophy of science and culture and audiovisual arts.
List of duties:
Oleh is the Vice-rector for science at the Ukrainian Catholic University. He is a member of the expert scientific group under the Mayor of Lviv; a reviewer of the international journals "International Journal of Fatigue" and "Fusion Engineering and Design".
Professional experience:
From 2015 to 2016, Oleh worked as Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Physics and Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. From 2017 to 2020, he was a lecturer in Philosophy of Science and Culture and Film History at the Department of Journalism and a lecturer in Cinema at the School of Journalism and Communications.
Since 2017, Oleh has been a lecturer in Philosophy of Science and Culture at UCU and, since 2018 – at the Faculty of Humanities of UCU. He has also worked as the Director of the Center of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky of the Ukrainian Catholic University since 2016 and as Vice-Rector for Research since 2020.
