STEM IS FEM
An educational project to promote STEM specialties among girls.
Role:
Ph.D., senior researcher
Irina researches mathematical physics and the application of algebraic methods in mathematical physics. She is engaged in constructing invariant mathematical models and exact solutions to the equations of mathematical physics, as well as applying Lie algebras's realizations to find new mathematical models of natural processes.
Irina is a mathematician who studies symmetric properties and exact solutions of differential equations of mathematical physics, differential invariants, and realizations of algebras and Lie groups used in mathematical physics. He is also popularizing mathematics, research on academic integrity, and scientific and educational policy.
Since 1984, Irina has worked at the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine as a senior researcher in the Department of Mathematical Physics.
In addition, Irina participated in the working groups of the Committee on Science and Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education. She has been a reviewer for numerous scientific journals in mathematical physics. She is a co-founder (and member of the executive editorial board) of the journal "Symmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications" (SIGMA).
