Andriy studies analytic mappings on Banach spaces, algebras of analytic functions, symmetric analytic functions, as well as topological tensor products and hypercyclic operators in Fréchet spaces.
Andriy is the Head of the Department of Mathematical and Functional Analysis. He teaches undergraduate and graduate students, supervises graduate students, research, and manages research projects.
Andriy began his scientific career in 1993 when he started his postgraduate studies at thePidstryhach Institute for Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Since 1997, he worked as a junior researcher at the same institute, and in 1998 he began his doctoral studies.
From 2003 to 2005, Andriy was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Saskatchewan 2003-2005; in 2005-2006, he was a visiting professor at the University of Nipissing.
In 2007, Andriy was appointed Head of the Department of Mathematical and Functional Analysis at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. In 2013, he became Vice-Rector for Research, and in 2019 he became Head of the Department of Mathematical and Functional Analysis at the same university.
In addition, Andriy has been an active expert of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine since 2013 and a member of the expert group of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which has been involved in the certification of higher education institutions as scientific institutions since 2018. Andriy is also the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal "Carpathian Mathematical Publications", and is a member of the editorial board of several scientific journals and a reviewer in various publications.
