Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University

Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is one of the best classical universities in southern Ukraine. The university has three educational and research institutes: Medical, Postgraduate Education, Public Management and Administration, and six faculties: Computer Science, Law, Political Science, Philology, Economics, Physical Education, and Sports.

In August 2022, the university was damaged during massive enemy rocket attacks on Mykolayiv. As a result of five missiles hitting the buildings of the educational institution, the main building was heavily damaged. Stairways from the 1st to the 4th floors, the outer wall, ceilings, and engineering systems (electricity, water supply, and heating) were destroyed, windows and doors in the total number of 741 units were smashed, the roof of the academic buildings was damaged, etc.

The total damage caused by the enemy shelling amounted to UAH 25 million. In particular, computer classes, scientific laboratories, and the University Clinic were damaged, along with the latest medical equipment and computer technology.

Funding is needed to restore the material and technical base lost as a result of the shelling, namely: Monitor — 40, System unit — 17, Video monitor — 8, Multimedia equipment — 2, TV — 2, Display panel — 5, GIF-LV1 video gastroscope and GIF-LV1 video colonoscope of OLYMPUS endoscopic video system (AXEON).
