Institute of Climate-Smart Agriculture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS) is a leading research institution that addresses critical strategic objectives of the country - performing fundamental and applied research on agriculture in the face of climate change and thus making a significant contribution to the food security of Ukraine and other countries. The Institute was formed by the merger of powerful scientific institutions in the South of Ukraine: The Institute of Irrigated Agriculture, the Institute of Rice, and the Southern State Agricultural Experimental Station for Vegetable and Melon Growing.

It is a leading research institution that addresses our country's critical strategic tasks, including ensuring food security in Ukraine and other countries.

Office premises and modern scientific laboratories were destroyed, agricultural machinery was looted, and the seed bank was destroyed. In addition, a valuable library collection was partially burned, and laboratory and computer equipment was stolen. The roof of the building was damaged by indirect shelling and all windows were smashed.
