Kherson State University

From the beginning of the de-occupation of our city to the present day, the campus dormitories, educational buildings, and swimming pool have been severely damaged, and the Berislav Specialty Pedagogical College, named after V.F. Benkovsky, has been almost destroyed. The territories of the separate structural subdivisions located on the left bank are currently occupied, so we will learn about the natural consequences of the invaders' presence there only later. However, at this time, it is known that as a result of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant explosion on June 6, 2023, the training center "KSU Water Plant" was completely flooded.

The buildings of educational buildings 3 and 4 — architectural monuments in the city center, built in the early XX century (1909) — were damaged by enemy shelling and required considerable funds to rebuild. The roof of the leading educational building No. 1 and windows and air conditioning doors were destroyed.

The enemy shelling destroyed the campus' roof boiler room, which provided heat to two buildings, and dormitory No. 2 was almost destroyed. After a technical inspection, which is currently difficult to do due to the excessive activity of enemy UAVs, all the equipment in the roof boiler room will not be subject to further operation.

Wall panels, windows, and doors of the swimming pool building were damaged, and windows in the university's laboratories were partially smashed. It is currently impossible to determine the actual type and extent of the damaged/destroyed equipment, as Kherson is constantly under fire.

Due to the security situation in Kherson, it is currently impossible to determine the amount of money needed for the restoration.
