Melitopol and Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University have been under occupation since the first days of the war, which prevented the evacuation of material and technical facilities, personal files of students and staff, and other archival documents. In addition, there was no humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of property.
Due to the temporary occupation of the city of Melitopol, Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University was temporarily moved to the base of Zaporizhzhia National University by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 387 of 26.04.2022, where the rectorate, deans' offices and other structural units of the university have been actively working all this time.
On May 27, 2022, the occupation authorities seized the buildings of the university's academic buildings and dormitories, along with documentation and material and technical resources. In addition, the creation of the so-called Melitopol University of the Russian Federation was announced based on Dmytro Motornyi Tavria State Agrotechnological University.
Given the negative experience of the liberated cities of Ukraine, we anticipate that after the liberation of Melitopol, the material and technical base of the university will be destroyed and looted by the occupation authorities.

For what:
To further ensure the organization of the educational process and the stable functioning of the university, there is an urgent need for technical equipment for the temporarily relocated university, including laptops, computers, multifunctional devices (printer, scanner, photocopier), multimedia projectors, interactive whiteboards, and other office equipment. To restore the material base in specialized training laboratories, we need laboratory equipment for machine repair and maintenance, power equipment and stands, processing and food production equipment, machine tools (lathes, milling machines, computer numerical control, etc.), greenhouses, and more. To restore the university's material base, it is necessary to purchase agricultural equipment for the Research and Training Center "Lazurne" (combines, tractors, seeders, cultivators, sprayers, etc.) and a laboratory for monitoring the quality of soil, agricultural products and food.
