Bioinformatics for Ukraine advances bioinformatics and the life sciences in Ukraine by helping students and early-career researchers develop modern computational skills, participate in real-world research projects and international research networks, and strengthen the resilience and long-term capacity of the Ukrainian scientific community.

BioInUA designs and delivers educational programmes in modern bioinformatics and computational biology, including:
Introduction to Bulk RNA-seq Analysis — a course covering the fundamentals of RNA sequencing data analysis and the relevant computational approaches.
Introduction to GWAS and Post-GWAS Analyses — a programme focused on genome-wide association studies and the subsequent biological interpretation of their findings.
Image Analysis with Python and Napari — a hands-on course on biomedical image analysis using Python and Napari tools.
The organisation also conducts practical workshops on drug discovery and biodiversity, as well as professional development webinars for students and early-career researchers.
BioInUA contributes to the organisation of the Eastern European Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics Workshop (EEBG) and develops partnerships with Ukrainian universities and international researchers.
The organisation also maintains educational resources and an active online community, providing participants with access to learning opportunities, scientific expertise, and international professional networks.
