Basic information:
NGO “Science and Nature” supports scientific research in the natural sciences, focusing on environmental and climate change. The Society disseminates research findings through publications, as well as by organising conferences and seminars.
One of the NGO’s areas of activity is science communication and the popularisation of science among the general public, particularly young people, through events, lectures, and workshops. As part of this work, the Society cooperates with educational institutions.
Members of the NGO “Science and Nature” provide consultations, conduct environmental impact assessments, and contribute to professional training for specialists in the natural sciences.
Main projects of the company:
Organisation of international scientific conferences and publication of conference proceedings. Field expeditions and cooperation with local communities on scientific assessments of environmental conditions; science communication activities and field seminars for broad audiences, including children of different ages; and cross-border initiatives aimed at promoting and supporting science-based natural resource management in the Carpathian region.
Which collaboration would be the most interesting/priority?
The Society would benefit from cooperation with institutions and professionals specialising in the legal and financial aspects of NGO operations, as well as environmental law and policy. A priority is to establish cooperation with local communities, particularly in the Carpathian region of Ukraine and neighbouring countries, and with organisations working in environmental monitoring, assessment, and conservation.
