Basic information:
It was created on the basis of professional interests. The decision to establish the Union was made by the General Meeting on December 15, 2009 in Kyiv.
The mission of the Ukrainian Association of Archaeologists is a voluntary, self-governing non-profit organization that unites specialists in the field of research, protection, preservation, management, advocacy and promotion of archaeological heritage for the sake of:
● formation and implementation of professional and ethical standards in the field;
● developing the capacity of professionals and institutions in the field;
● promoting the development of a professional network;
● advocacy for the protection and promotion of archaeological heritage at the national and international levels;
● promoting the formation of a responsible attitude of society to archaeological heritage as a resource for development and the basis of national identity.
The main areas of activity are the popularization of archaeological science, protection of archaeological monuments, legislative regulation of their use and scientific research, promotion of the work of professional archaeologists in Ukraine, and protection of their professional interests.

Which collaboration would be the most interesting/priority?
The most exciting work was the project "United by History: Ukraine's Cultural Heritage on the Pages of a Passport."” It involved many experts and specialists, from creating video content to writing popular science texts.
The Russian Federation uses culture as an instrument of its aggressive policy and war. Ukraine, for its part, can use culture as an instrument of its defense. One of these tools is our foreign passport. As information about it spreads, people are interested in what is depicted in it and why it is so important.
