Ukrainian Association of Doctors-Psychologists

The main goal of the Association is, in particular, to unite psychologists and other health care professionals, researchers and students studying in the relevant specialty, and to develop mental and public health systems.

The Association was registered on April 7, 2011.

The main goal of the Association, as reflected in its 2018 Charter, is, in particular, to unite psychologists and other health care professionals, researchers and students studying in the relevant specialty, and to develop mental and public health systems.

The Association plays an active role in promoting scientific research. It has organized four international scientific and practical conferences, including “Medical Psychology: Achievements, Development and Prospects” and the International Congress on Medical and Psychological Rehabilitation Med Psy Rehab. It has also co-organized and partnered with more than 50 scientific and practical events in Ukraine and abroad.

Main projects of the company:

In 2014-2017, the Association held a 2014 course of practice-oriented lectures and training sessions on First Psychological Aid in psychotraumatic situations, in particular for mobilized doctors. In 2015-2018, the Association participated in the project Social and Psychological Assistance to the Population of Ukraine together with IPSO (International Psychosocial Organization), Rotary International and others.

In 2023, the Association implemented the PsyCare — Kyiv Region project, which was launched by the Ukrainian Association

of Doctors—Psychologists together with the Kyiv Regional State Administration, a regional unit of the All-Ukrainian mental health programme, and with the support of the Ukrainian-Swiss Mental Health for Ukraine Project.

Members of the society are authors and reviewers in scientific journals.

Which collaboration would be the most interesting/priority?

The Society's priority regions of cooperation are the United States and Europe. The most critical projects aim to create and develop effective mental health care and comprehensive rehabilitation systems. In particular, through scientific substantiation, creation, and support of programs and institutions to assist in the above areas.

Our priorities include attracting investments in research, developing and implementing evidence-based effective methods of providing assistance to citizens in the areas of mental health and rehabilitation, and professional development of specialists in these areas. 

This comprehensive approach emphasizes our commitment to creating a safer and healthier society through active international scientific cooperation.
