Description of the field of scientific research:
Nataliia’s research interests encompass the education and development of gifted students, pedagogical support for school research activities, science education, and STEM/STEAM education. Her work focuses on integrating formal and non-formal education for gifted learners, teaching methods in specialised science-oriented education, developing creativity through STEM/STEAM approaches, and designing interdisciplinary content for open educational environments.
List of duties:
Nataliia is Head of the Department for Giftedness Support at the Institute of Gifted Child of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. She leads research on gifted education, pedagogical support for student research, science education, and STEM/STEAM education. Her activities also include organising scientific and practical events for educators, teaching, developing educational and methodological publications, and public speaking.
Professional experience:
2007 — Awarded the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences degree.
Since 2008 — Leading Researcher and Head of Department, Institute of Gifted Child of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine.
2012 — Awarded the academic title of Senior Researcher.
2006 — Co-organiser and Executive Secretary of the All-Ukrainian Association of Physics Teachers “Path of Education XXI”.
2010–2022 — Coordinator of the Institute of Gifted Child and Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine project for selecting and preparing participants for international competitions for young researchers, including ICYS.
2013 — Participant in a science school for physics teachers at Argonne National Laboratory, Chicago, USA.
Since 2016 — Member of the working group on the implementation of STEM education in Ukraine.
2016 — Participant in an international science school at CERN.
2019–2022 — Coordinator of the joint project of the Institute of Gifted Child and the Khanenko Museum “STEAM Lessons in the Museum of World Art”.
2022–2025 — Member of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine expert commission in Physics for reviewing educational literature and curricula.
