Her doctoral dissertation was on molecular genetic markers of high physical performance in sports. She studied the peculiarities of molecular genetic adaptation of obese women to various health fitness programs. As a senior researcher at the University of Lausanne, she studied the effects of hypoxic training and physical activity of different intensities on the expression of genes involved in skeletal muscle metabolism.
Currently, Svitlana is interested in studying changes in the transcriptome and epigenetic profile of genes under the influence of prolonged physical activity as the basis for the health-promoting effect of exercise on the human body and the health of the population as a whole.
